Book: Curating within Indigenous Ecosystems of Art and Storytelling
This book brings a cross-section of instances from the contemporary arts industry challenging the ironies of labor and production and underscores the role of curation in mediating these systems. The research brings global perspectives in visual storytelling, resilient legacies, and communal knowledges with citations from the Narragansett community, native to Rhode Island in the United States and the Gond-Pardhans in Madhya Pradesh, India. This book is for curators, artists, collectors, scholars and anyone who is invested in learning about Indigenous art. She specializes in the contemporary and diasporic contexts of art and has years of experience in India and the United States. She has consulted with major organizations, such as the RISD Museum and Studio Loba LLC in Rhode Island, and Anant Art Gallery, Inherited Arts Forum, Yatra Books and Teamwork Arts Pvt. Ltd in New Delhi. Her writings have been published on various platforms such as volume 1, Art&Deal and All About Book Publishing.
